Minimalist, folk-flavored NYC duo Ida will be releasing My Fair, My Dark via Polyvinyl August 5. The seven-song EP follow-up to January's Lovers Prayers contains two unreleased originals as well as covers of Anne Briggs, John And Beverley Martyn, Dolly Parton and David Schickele.

I have just finished reading INTERPOL’s report on the computers that the government of Colombia says it found in an encampment of the FARC-EP on March 1. Reading the report I am once again fascinated with what experts can do with computers.
First some background. On March 1, the Colombian military (with US Special Forces help) illegally attacked a FARC-EP rebel camp inside Ecuador. US satellite telephone tracking located the site. Washington signed off on the mission.
