The South Dakota 4-H Foundation's "Our Kids, Our Future" endowment campaign is off to a great start, thanks to the generosity of two Brookings-area families.
Lewis and Clark 4-H Foundation and the Helena Valley Community Center is holding a dinner, dance and silent auction Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight at the Helena Valley Community Center, 2605 York Road, near Warren School.
More than 175 young agriculturalists convened at the Holiday Inn on Oct. 3 to 5 for the fifth annual Young Ag Leadership Conference. Attendees participated in workshops, listened to panel discussions, and networked with fellow producers and ag industry associates.
The Weirton Christian Center's Afterschool Program will sponsor a Lights On Afterschool rally on Thursday at 6 p.m. This will be one of more than 7,500 such events around the nation that day.
